Stocky is shutting down
PassedStocky left the Shopify App Store on 2026-02-02 and shut down on 2026-08-31, leaving a read-only export window that Shopify says lasts at least 90 days.
Timeline
- ReachedStocky removed from the App Store
- ReachedStocky shut down
Who's affected
- POS merchants
Stocky, Shopify's inventory and purchase order app for POS, was removed from the App Store on 2026-02-02, so it cannot be reinstalled. It shut down on 2026-08-31, and its APIs stopped with it.
After shutdown, Shopify says merchants keep read-only access to export their data for at least 90 days. There is no fixed end date for that window, so do not wait on it.
What breaks
- Stocky and its APIs are offline after 2026-08-31.
- Historical purchase orders and stocktakes do not migrate to Shopify.
- Suppliers cannot be exported from Stocky.
- Historical purchase orders cannot be imported into Shopify. A CSV upload only adds line items to a new draft purchase order.
How to check
Log in to Stocky and confirm you still have read-only access. If you do, review any open or in-transit purchase orders and decide which need to be recreated in Shopify.
How to fix
Export what you need while read-only access lasts:
- Completed purchase order reports, as CSV.
- Stocktake history.
- Historical cost data, from Stocky's reports.
Record your suppliers by hand, because they cannot be exported. Then set up the Shopify admin equivalents: transfers, purchase orders and suppliers, inventory adjustments, and stock counts (Quick count in POS). For reporting and alerts, use Analytics custom reports and Shopify Flow low-stock alerts.
